**Analysis
for a Competition Model**

**Session 9: ** This
session uses Maple to perform a standard analysis of a two dimensional system
of differential equations. The techniques developed below show numerical simulation
of the differential equation, nullcline analysis, equilibrium analysis, and
local linear analysis about the equilibria. The mathematical ideas include Maple's
ability to simulate differential equations, solve systems of nonlinear equations,
and finding eigenvalues and eigenvectors for 2-D systems. The Maple
sheet is available as usual.
