Grade Information

The scores below reflect all but the last 5 labs to be graded. I anticipate little movement between now and the final assignment of the grade, so only students on the grade boundaries may be affected. The grade average below will be computed by adding all Lab scores and the Lab Exams counting double the Lab scores together with a weight of 0.34 , then the Lecture portion of the grade is 0.66 times a weighted average of the HW score and the Exam scores. The grade divisions are typically 85-100 is an A, 73-85 is a B, 62-73 is a C, 50-62 is a D, and below 50 is an F with + or - assigned near the boundary or a particularly high (+) or low (-) final score. You can find your Code Name by going to Blackboard to find your Code Number, then matching it against the Code Information sheet. The instructor considers the comprehensive final exam especially important in deciding the final grade, as this exam reflects what a student has learned in the course. Anyone receiving a score less than 50% on the Final will not obtain a grade higher than a C-.
